A little something about ourselves:
My husband, Lew and I, began leather work in a small shop behind our home in Loveland, Colorado back in 1974, doing mostly repairs, alterations and custom designs for folks. By the 80’s we had developed our own line of custom vests and handbags which we sold throughout Colorado and the West. Back in the day, Singer/song writers John Denver and Michael Martin Murphy wore “Lew ‘n’ Me” vests during their careers. We spent the 90’s refining our techniques and narrowing our focus while expanding our territory.
Today design, functionality, and durability are the trademarks of all “Lew ‘n’ Me” creations. We still use only the finest (and softest) top grain cowhide. Our thread, solid brass hardware and linings are chosen for their durability and each bag is still designed, cut, sewn, finished and packaged by the two of us alone.
We take great pride in the craftsmanship of our handbags, our service and, especially, the satisfaction of our customers. Our reputation is built on these principles.
